TP Pump is looking for a n Application Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM!
As a n application engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, managing customer interactions, and handling project-related tasks. Responsibilities include assisting engineers with technical data and specification development, reviewing public bid projects, managing email communications, and sending quotes promptly.
What You'll Do:
• Technical Support and Specification Development : Assist engineers with technical data and specification development, and review public bid projects to ensure the equipment meets required specifications.
• Customer Interaction and Quotes: Manage the email inbox to ensure tasks are completed, send quotes to customers and bidding contractors promptly, and answer their questions.
• Product Knowledge and Equipment Selection: Develop a deep understanding of various product lines and manufacturers, size and select pumps and rotating equipment to meet customer needs, and evaluate potential value engineering cost savings.
• Project Review and Preparation: Review project specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work, prepare detailed listings of materials and equipment for estimates, and obtain and review vendor quotes for completeness and conformance with plans.
• Proposal and Transition Management: Create proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects, and after bid acceptance, meet with the inside sales team to explain job scope and ensure a successful project transition.
• Multitasking and Customer Focus: Must be good at multitasking and working in an environment with changing priorities, while maintaining a strong customer focus.

What You'll Need:
- Minimum 4 years' estimating, or experience with Industrial/Water Treatment process instrumentation and control systems.
- Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
