Keller Electrical is looking for a Controls Shop Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ!

As a Controls Shop Manager you will be responsible for the successful bid, design, fabrication and testing of all custom control panels and variable speed drive products produced at this facility. The manager will also be part of an industrial electrical team that is committed to solving complex problems for our industrial and municipal customer base.
What You'll Do:
- This position provides the managerial and leadership skills necessary to ensure a high degree of safety in the workplace, commitment to quality standards and education or experience required to build complex control panels and variable speed drive cabinets.
- Lead communications and opportunity management with our customers for new projects and ongoing opportunities.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience in working with VFD's including their functionality and communication capabilities, PLCs, operator interface programs, and variable frequency drives.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of field sensors such as flow, temperature, pressure, and level devices.
- Create detailed bills of materials, assist customers with recommendations for electrical equipment upgrades and prepare quotes for customers, incorporating their knowledge of industrial processes.
- Supervise the fabrication of control panels when necessary and provide hands-on field installation and start-up assistance for assigned projects.
- Maintain UL508 documentation for shop, panel designs and panel fabrications meeting these standards.
- Manage work force including performance reviews, training, continuous improvement activities and overall direction for control shop success.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
What You'll Need:
- Strong ability to mentor and train workforce.
- Ability to understand and read electrical schematics and P&ID's.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
- 5+ years experience with industrial control and control panels.
- 5+ years experience with Variable speed drives and DC to AC conversions.
