Position: Customer Service Representative (CSR)
OTC is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Louisville, KY!
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary contact for customers, ensuring superior service by managing inquiries, orders, complaints, and returns, and following up for resolution.
What You'll Do:
- Customer Service and Order Management: Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring superior service through timely processing and communication of inquiries, orders, complaints, returns, and corrections. Follow up to ensure issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Technical and Product Knowledge: Acquire and maintain specialized knowledge about products, applications, and the SX.e distribution software to effectively handle exceptions, substitutions, allocations, and special problems.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Develop and maintain a list of suppliers, negotiate pricing, generate purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage material returns. Utilize vendor portals for efficient information gathering and communication.
- Team Collaboration and Support: Work cooperatively with colleagues, offering assistance when needed, troubleshooting shipment and product-related issues, and ensuring smooth operations within the team.
- Sales and Management Support: Gather and provide necessary information to the sales and management teams, including maintaining accurate customer sales orders and communicating any order issues with the Accounting Department. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or High School Diploma.
- Minimum 1 years' experience, 3 years preferred experience in prior customer service environment.
- Experience and knowledge of industrial manufacturing distribution preferred.
- High level office computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
- Mechanical Power Transmission and Bearing knowledge preferred.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
