Overview: The Director of Engineering will collaborate with the sales team and customers to understand end user requirements, select design systems appropriate for the application, and manage projects throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Review customer technical specifications.
  • Manager multiple direct reports
  • Preparation of proposals.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and provide recommendations for customers.
  • Present clear verbal and written technical explanations to customers.
  • Make necessary engineering calculations to support product selection/recommendation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Create submittal documents by transferring design drawings onto project title blocks.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering strongly preferred along with a minimum 10+ years of engineering design experience
  • 3+ years engineering management experience required- must fully understand and have experience with full P&L responsibility

Knowledge of:
  • Design, materials, and operational requirements of air compressors highly desired.
  • Principles and practices of engineering.
  • Terminology, methods, practices and techniques used in mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
