OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a Key Account Manager with proven compressed air systems experience to drive sales growth and expand market presence. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing a strong sales pipeline, and building lasting relationships within industrial organizations. You'll work cross-functionally with purchasing, maintenance, and engineering teams to provide high-impact solutions using our industry-leading compressed air technologies.
This role is ideal for a hunter-style salesperson with a strong technical background and an existing presence in the compressed air or industrial equipment market. The product you'll represent is a key strategic priority with significant growth potential and market disruption opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Manage all aspects of outside sales focused on compressed air systems and related industrial services.
- Develop and grow relationships with key decision-makers, including maintenance managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities while expanding wallet share with existing accounts.
- Leverage your technical knowledge to evaluate customer compressed air systems and offer tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with regional sales representatives to strategically target high-value customer accounts.
- Conduct on-site product demonstrations, plant surveys, and system evaluations.
- Work closely with OTC Inside Sales, Application Engineers, and factory reps to coordinate support and maximize revenue.
- Generate proposals, negotiate pricing, and present value-based solutions that reduce customer operating costs and increase reliability.
- Regularly track and report sales activities, forecasts, and results in CRM tools.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, or a minimum of 4+ years of industrial B2B sales experience, specifically with compressed air systems (e.g., compressors, dryers, filtration, piping, audits).
- Demonstrated success managing sales territory and exceeding growth targets in the compressed air or utility services sector.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical aptitude and understanding of plant utility systems.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory (up to 50%).
