What You'll Do :
- Division Leader with P&L accountability for Machining Services Department
- Coordinate and monitor daily manpower and equipment needs, and workload efficiencies of machining teams
- Highly experienced with manual machining and all associated tooling
- Moderately experienced with CNC machining and all associated tooling
- Interface with customers periodically to review projects and other capabilities
- Review fabrication drawings, estimate budget, develop scope of work and other contractual documentation as applicable
- Compliance with all company policies, procedures and initiatives
- Constantly monitor and report on department productivity and backlog
- Drive profitability of company with professional, high-quality machining services and repairs that meet or exceed original equipment specifications, while meeting service and overall company objectives
- Work with Keller management, and Human Resources, in the lifecycle of employees, from recruitment to separation
- Provide leadership and employee development opportunities (on-the-job, EASA classes, correspondence courses or any other educational opportunities approved by management)
- Participate in annual performance evaluations for all direct reports and performance improvement plans as needed
- Coordinate and run daily/weekly production and toolbox meetings
- Coordinate repairs during normal hours as well as after hours, including bringing in material and employees to complete the job even if outside normal realm of responsibilities
- Prioritize incoming requests and follow up as needed
- Provide technical information required by the vendors - material lists, dimensional drawings, manuals, etc...
- Communicate delivery and status of orders to customers
- Use of various communication tools - phone, voicemail, computer
- Assist in the preparation of job packets, including any paperwork as applicable
- Quality control of work before its machine and after machine work
What You'll Need:
- Effective leadership and management skills, along with cohesive team building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, and problem sensitivity
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Solid communication skills (clear, concise), and excellent interpersonal skills in building relationships
- Excellent trouble shooter in tough situations as well as handling multiple tasks with skillfulness
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in constructive and timely manner
- Ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
- Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings and fabricate as applicable
- Ability to interface with internal & external customers as well as peers
- Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Degree in mechanical engineering / engineering technology or job-related experience
- Minimum 10 years of machining experience demonstrated in the industrial market
- Have a satisfactory motor vehicle report as the position may operate company vehicles on an as needed basis
- Experience with electro-mechanical and industrial-mechanical equipment
- Previous work experience in the mining and/or aggregate industries preferred
- Experienced with using project scheduling software is a plus
- Experienced with AutoCad and/or Solid Works is a plus
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook and Word)
