Mechanical Seal Specialist

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Location- This is a Remote/Virtual Position

Account Generation/Sales Growth:

  • Drive seal sales in conjunction with current sales staff.
  • Follow up on referrals and new leads
  • Identify business opportunities and threats
  • Monitor and report competitor activities to company colleagues and management
  • Regularly improve product knowledge by attending company and vendor sponsored training programs

Account Management:

  • Maintain established customer relationships with regular visits
  • Maintain Company's Customer Relationship Management database with current information
  • Identify opportunities to expand product base within every customer account
  • Review customer operations for improving business process opportunities
  • Continuously update all customers on company product capabilities, services, and enhancements
  • Liaising between the company, vendors and customers for up-to-date information on pricing, service, and other issues

Customer Relations:

  • Generate proposals, presentations, and sales contracts
  • Communicate expected delivery dates and expedite orders as necessary
  • Provide trouble-shooting expertise
  • Assist with shipment issues; resolve product related problems
  • Develop the plan to achieve territory sales goals and targets
  • Prepare required sales reports for management
  • Complete expense reports in a timely fashion

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and support systems
  • Knowledge of the issues affecting distribution, manufacturing, and supply chain management
  • Technical sales experience preferred, but not required
