Job Summary:
The Fabricator/Welder shall build a variety of projects ranging from small single pump units to large complex multi-function skids. Be able to read and build from shop drawings. And be able to contribute feedback to the design and fabrication of the projects.

Job Summary:
The Fabricator/Welder shall build a variety of projects ranging from small single pump units to large complex multi-function skids. Be able to read and build from shop drawings. And be able to contribute feedback to the design and fabrication of the projects.
Essential Functions:
- Welding with Tig and Mig of cold and hot rolled metals, including stainless steel, and may include aluminum. Materials will range from thin gauge sheet metal, structural metals, and all shapes and gauges according to a particular design combination.
- Experience to successfully weld components in flat and vertical, and use of proper welding practices to minimize shrinking, distortion or expansion of materials or assembly.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to accomplish required blueprint configurations
- Ability and experience to accurately use standard fabrication measurement tools and devices to ensure all dimensional and quality requirements are met.
- Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts
- Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Experience to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other load moving equipment.
- Ability to use equipment such as plasma cutters, saws, shears, drill press, grinders, punches, and other equipment to modify, cut, and shape metal materials to meet blueprint requirements.
- Working environment and equipment will require the use of personal protective equipment to each task. This includes, but is not limited to safety glasses, goggles, shields, welding helmet, gloves, steel toe footwear, burn protection apparel and ear protection.
- Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Drill and Tap Holes
Physical Abilities:
- Welding position will require heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects. Physical work is a primary part of job, requires standing and repetitive daily movements associated with fabrication, and welding.
- Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Training / Education:
- 0 - 15 years of experience in the field of metal working and related entities
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and SMAW processes
- Proficient in handheld plasma, Oxy-acet. cutting and Carbon Arc Gouging
- Proficient in reading Bill of material and fabrication documents
- Able to weld in all positions, material types and Shapes (including pipe)
- A well-rounded knowledge of metals, plastics, woods, and other materials is a plus
- Could pass welder qualification tests if requested
- Vocational training and / or Associates degree required
