Position: Finishing Site Manager – IFM

Job Summary
The Finishing Site Manager – IFM leads on-site field service activities, providing In-Field Maintenance (IFM), cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance at customer locations. This role serves as a technical expert and team leader, supporting technicians, customers, and sales teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the industry expert in a focused application or product line
  • Effectively multi-task while handling scheduling, logistics, organization, and communication
  • Provide technician training as part of preventive maintenance programs
  • Deliver advanced technical training to other technicians
  • Provide hands-on field service support, including IFM, maintenance, and repair
  • Lead system IFM, setup, and commissioning activities
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and technical questions
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to work performed, including computer system entries
  • Develop quotes, scopes of work, and final service reports
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships for service and repair activities
  • Maintain demonstration equipment, including:
    • Performance testing prior to use
    • Documentation and tracking of usage by employees or customers
    • Proper storage after use
  • Identify, plan, and assist with special projects and service jobs, as requested
  • Participate in ongoing product training
  • Support product demonstrations with sales teams in the field
  • Assist with the establishment of service contracts for IFM, repair, and maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; emphasis on office, technical, or shop skills preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and support a technical team
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, including overnight travel when required
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in skilled trades or equivalent applicable experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a focused application or product line
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Finishing
    • General Industry
  • Demonstrated experience using hand and power tools (wrenches, drivers, power tools)
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply:
    • Policy manuals
    • Safety rules
    • Operating and maintenance instructions
    • Procedure manuals
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and professional correspondence
  • Effective verbal communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions with customers, clients, and employees
  • Working knowledge of 5S principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to understand written and spoken English
  • Strong computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and online document retrieval
  • Ability to learn and use OTC computer systems for service and repair documentation
  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Safety certified with working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to OTC insurance requirements
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
