Originally founded in 1984 as Industrial Compressor Services (ICS), our team has been providing temporary oil free compressed air, services and expertise to the manufacturing and industrial markets throughout North America. This employee must demonstrate core skills, which include understanding company safety policies, adherence to the OTC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines. Also 5-S requirements, sustaining the process, and general housekeeping are required. This employee must understand and follow verbal and written instructions. The normal operating duties are listed below and can change depending on unforeseen circumstances or are assigned by supervision for the success of the operation.

Clean and paint interior or exterior surfaces, structures, and production equipment. Read work orders and receive instructions from supervisor or manager regarding painting activities and perform same in a safe and efficient manner.

Prepare surfaces to include the use of sandpaper, wire brushes, paint remover, hand washing or other suitable method for painting. Repairing of surfaces using caulking, putty, or similar medium to ensure the surface is in proper condition for paint.

Must possess the ability to select appropriate materials and methods of application. Activities to include removal of fixtures when appropriate, prior to painting. Spreading of drop cloths over floors and equipment and mask desired surfaces to protect from paint contamination. Must be able to perform minor repairs such as foam insulation.

Erect ladders and utilize aerial lift platforms to perform painting tasks above ground level consistent with safety and health guidelines. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment. Attention to detail and good dexterity
Responsible for maintaining technical equipment (paint gun, sanders etc.) for the job and ensuring that they are in working order
Maintaining a wide array of painting tools including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes, and rollers, and removing previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse, among other duties
Ability to operate heavy machinery, requiring stamina and physical strength
Painting/striping lines on cement
Painting industrial equipment
Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint
Safely disposing of chemical waste
Ensuring that high safety standards are met
Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface
Utilizing special safety equipment such as painting goggles or any required PPE
Using viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint
Removing previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse
Painting small items and doing touch-ups
Ensuring proper ventilation after the paint is applied
Experience painting a variety of surface types.
Physical strength to operate machinery.

Must be able to follow written procedures
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be self-driven and motivated
Fill in for absent or vacationing employee in the same roll
Able to process requisitions and process ordering of supplies.
Must be able to work 8 hours on his/her feet, lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis over a normal workday, and climb ladders safely.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum education High school graduate or GED with at least 2 to 3 years' experience painting in an industrial manufacturing environment with a working knowledge and understanding in the areas of continuous improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing problem solving and prioritizing skills. Willingness to obtain additional training as needed. Must have the ability to professionally/effectively solve problems and remain calm at all times in high-stress situations.
