GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for ensuring manufacturing quality standards, documents, and procedures are maintained for shop fabricated systems, and for maintaining branch level Quality and Safety Programs. Assist in creating technical documentation for project document submittals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
  • Coordinate project documentation
  • Verify that all quality reviews are properly identified and scheduled
  • Regularly audit Job Travelers to ensure that all QA checkpoints are met
  • Ensure additional quality documents are accurate and complete with all required information (Paint Data Sheets, NDE, Weld Inspections, MTRs, etc.)
  • Support engineering in creation of technical submittal documents
  • Maintain stock material MTR (material test reports)
  • Assist Shop Manager to keep all Weld Procedures current
  • Maintain the Weld Procedure Matrix and Welder Continuity Log
  • Develop and maintain Paint Data Sheet and Material Heat Log spreadsheets
  • Maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually quality system reports
  • Update and maintain Quality System records and databases
  • Assist with internal auditing
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline procedures and reduce costs
  • Oversee all quality related issues

Safety
  • Develop and implement Safety Program
  • Create safety training matrix, safety committee, and safety audit procedures
  • Maintain safety files and records
  • Review and maintain MSDS book
  • Manage contractor safety programs (ISNetWorld, NCMS, etc.)

Qualifications
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Experience editing documents in PDF
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills: Able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Experience with 2D CAD (Preferred)

Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, safety or other related field
  • Experience with technical deliverables and document management
  • 1 year experience within a manufacturing or design company (Preferred)
