Job Overview:
As a Technician, you work on and rebuild rotating equipment. Additional duties, but not limited to, pipe fitting, manual machine work, material handling, measurements, vibration analysis, electrical work, laser alignment, installation and system analysis. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or Associate's Degree or Certification in Mechanics/Technical preferred.
- You must be physically fit and able to stand and walk for at least 8 hours a day, lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination and capability to use shop equipment (Drill Press, Pneumatic Hand Tools, Horizontal Bandsaw, cutting torch); use of precision equipment (dial indicators, mics, calipers) a plus; additional advantage for those with experience using hoist and cranes, understanding of vibration monitoring and lubrication routes, prior experience to run an engine lathe or turret mill, and/or knowledge of electrical components such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Systems and Programs.
- OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Certified recommended but not required.
- General knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
- Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
- Must be willing to travel for training as determined by management, with possible overnight stay.
