Job Description:
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Selects items from warehouse per customer order and packs in boxes for shipment.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order.
- Operates pallet jacks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Operates the stretch wrap banders.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. Familiarity with Fed X and UPS software is preferred.
- Makes local and regional deliveries in a 26 foot company box truck.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must be detail oriented as there are several products with similar item numbers for different applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good time management skills.
- Basic math skills and/or aptitude.
- Some computer experience and aptitude.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Valid Driver's License and willing to submit to a drug test
- Ability to work effectively with other OTC associates, customers, and vendors.
- A commitment to the concept of "doing it right the first time."
- Forklift experience a plus.
