JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties
- Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, or to utilize OTC shipping tools (i.e. UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, CH Robinson Navisphere).
- Pulling customer pick tickets with accuracy
- Assist with daily/weekly cycle counts
- Assist with staging kits for production
- Assist in maintenance, upkeep and trash disposal for branch facility.
- Proper maintenance and upkeep of inventory locations, inventory accuracy and organization
- Operation of pallet jacks, hand trucks, platform carts and forklifts to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Operation of stretch wrap banders, tape applicators, box cutters, etc in shipping and receiving process.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments to proper bin location or staging area. Rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds per location protocol to escalate to shipper. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed or required.
- Any other tasks as assigned by manager/lead
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Excellent customer relation and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Detail oriented, including accurate data entry skills
- Capable of working independently, as well as a team member
- Interact with co-workers with a positive attitude to maintain a friendly and productive work environment
- Familiarity with or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to understand written and oral English and be proficient with computer, email, spreadsheets and look up documents online
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Ability to work in environments that may include:
- Moving mechanical parts
- Fumes or airborne particles
- Painting chemicals and solvents
- Electrical equipment
Physical Requirements
- Sit/Stand for prolonged periods at a bench or table to package materials
- Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Retrieving and / or filing documentation from other departments.
- Handling – moving, lifting (up to 70 lbs) parts to and from bench or cart.
